Question:
If I were to put lyrics on here that I have written. . what is the likelyhood that my song/lyrics/poem will get stolen? Obviously this couldn't happen if it were copyrighted, but none of my stuff is and I would like to put some of my stuff down to get an outsider (someone who doesn't really know me and my music too well) to tell me what he/she thought. So would I get my stuff stolen here? I would like to think not since it is a Christian site, but I don't have that comfort. Can anyone answer this? Later days!

In all likelihood... your songs are probably not going to get stolen. I've posted here for 3 years, and I haven't heard of anyone playing my songs. Usually I find that I trash most of mine anyways... I write better songs, and forget about the ones before. Anyway, I can't tell you 100% that no one will steal them, but you're probably safe.

I've had many people tell me my stuff is really good. These people consist of Pastors of Music and such. I don't really take the criticism of just anyone. I figure here though I would have some pastors and things like that. I do write good stuff, not meaning to sound conceited or anything, but my stuff is very good and I usually work on it until I like it well enough to have someone help me put music to it. I only trust two people with "my" stuff as in giving them a copy. That is why I am paranoid about posting stuff on here because then it's right in front of someone as long as they need it. That is my fear. I could call someone and be like, this is my song and read it/sing it/play it/whatever to them and it's no big deal because they don't have it memorized. I think I will stick to just letting people hear my stuff and not seeing it, until I get it copyrighted. Then I will post my stuff here.
I'm so anxious though because I want the criticism, but am afraid at the same time. Thanks any way, later days!
