software to pick out chords?
Question: is there any software that will pick out what chords are in a song? or is this an impossible idea? Answer: wow just train your ear man, it takes time but dont be lazy. and no... they dont have such a program and even if they did I wouldnt recommend it or tell you. Answer: Here is one... http://www.tucows.com/preview/500166 Open an mp3 file and it will list the chords Answer: That sort of thing is shakey at best. While it can give you little idea, it's usually a good idea to start ear training. Answer: There are only 11 notes to choose from so you have a 1-in-11 shot of getting at least the root note correct. That's better odds than most any form of gambling. Answer: Originally Posted by gtrdave There are only 11 notes to choose from so you have a 1-in-11 shot of getting at least the root note correct. It's not totally accurate but it seems to get you in the ballpark. Looks like it might work well for writing chord sheets. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
