Dear Songwriters/Critiquers/Readers:
As a way of hopefully encouraging more activity, and making use of the increased activity of the past few months, we are bringing back the Song of the Month Contests in the songwriting forum.
The contest is really very simple: at the beginning of each month, one of the moderators will start a nominations thread which will be open until the 15th of the month, when we will close it and open a thread for voting.
If you'd like to see a song win the honors, you must nominate it. If you'd like to nominate a song, you simply copy the entire song, and paste it into a post in the nominations thread. Accompany the copied and pasted song with a sentence naming the song you nominate, and the user who posted it, for instance,
"I nominate Deadly Tomatoes by Gradilation."
You may not nominate your own song, and you may only nominate one. Also, check the nominations thread to make sure the song you're nominating hasn't already been nominated.
As stated above, at the 15th, we will close the Nominations thread and open voting.
Again, you may not vote for your own song, even if you think it's the best, and you may only vote once. You may vote for a song you didn't nominate, however.
