Mercyme
Question: has anyone heard of the group Mercyme? In my area, they have just been introduced to the Chirstian Music Scene. I went out the other day and bought their newest album--WOW! I have never heard such great Praise and Worsip Music--especialy for youth. they also have "Worship Leaser Packets" which include a great number of resources! I reccomend this group to anyone!! If you have heard this group, what is your opinion of them? Answer: I'm an Oldschool MercyMe fan..... we started doing "I can only Imagine" back when nobody had ever heard it. I heard it first about a year ago, when I got their "worship Project" CD... We started doing human video's to it, and did alot of praise and worship from it. They even put the music chords in their CD sleeve so you can be sure about the chords, they also put them on their website for free. Mr. Green....23 Answer: Yeah, MercyMe is great. Their CD actually caught my attention because of the bright yellow cover... It was in one of the demo machines at Lifeway as well, so I listened and I figured I'd give it a try. It's now probably one of my favorite albums that I own...and that's saying a lot since I have around 200 that I keep with me at all times... A few weeks ago I helped the youth at my church record a CD to raise money for their mission trips and a friend of mine and I actually recorded "I Can Only Imagine" for the CD. You can find the MP3 of our version here: http://members.home.com/brentstunes/...ly Imagine.mp3 (3.1 MB) Brent Answer: Brent, Do you have the CD before that one called "The worship Project"... It is way better in my opinion... Must have... It also has the original version of "I can only imagine" which I think is more worshipful....... However, I've downloaded the "original" version of the song before and it sounds pretty much the same to me. Just wasn't produced as slickly because I doubt they had much money then. Brent Answer: Yea, I would venture to say that they didn't have as much in it, but I think that is what I like most about it. Just a piano at the beginning, no keyboard... I just think it was so much more worshipful that way..... The rest of that CD is so cool. They do a song called "Beautiful" that you should download. It's easy to play, and we have been doing it for praise and worship since June or July and it gets a great response. Mr. Green....23 Answer: Hey MRGREEN, What is a human video? jth Answer: It's a silent drama set to a song. It started about fifteen or twenty years ago with people painted up like mimes doing skits representing songs. And now we have National Human Video competitions every year for the State of Alabama, and the Country in the Assemblies of God denomination. Never heard of them, huh????? Mr. Green....23 Mr. Green....23 Answer: I signed my name twice, that is weird Answer: MercyMe played at a church in my home town about a year and a half ago, and I really fell in love with them there. They were simply amazing as a group leading you to the throne. I have "The Worship Project" and it is amazing. Every song on there is good. Recently, after I moved to Lubbock, I got to see them again, and they just get better everytime. Check em Out!!! Answer: MercyMe is great Mr. Green....23 Answer: The first time I heard MercyMe was at Riverfest in Little Rock, AR. They opened for Jennifer Knapp. I thought they were great. We basically had a worship service in the middle of Riverfest. I thought it was cool that they had Mercyme and J.K. at Riverfest b/c it is not a christian event.
