What would happen if you hooked up a mike to a distortion pedal and talked into it? I have an accustic guitar so I don't have a clue as to what would happen!

that's a good question. i don't know the answer. i don't know whether you could physically hook a mic up to a distortion box (because the box uses quarter-inch connections, and them mic uses xlr connections) but it might be manageable. if you could hook it up, it probably would do something. i know if you plug an acoustic into distortion, it will come out with distortion. i know because i've done it on my amp. it doesn't sound quite as good i don't think, but it does work.

This isn't the appropriate forum for this question, but if you had a female XLR to 1/4 inch cable, you could plug a mic into a distortion pedal and potentially distort your voice or whatever you're amplifying with the mic. It wouldn't sound very good though since most distortion pedals are designed to be used with an electric guitar.
