Hey everyone, I'm new here. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. But I've been tryin to learn guitar, and I have a few questions. First of all, what are power chords? And I can't figure out how to read the tabs on this site, like I looked at Kutless' Draw Me Close, and the first verse is like this
G--11--6--8---11--6--/8/--4--|
D--X---X--X---X---X--/X/--X--|
A--9---4--6---9---4--/6/--2--|
I know that G, D and A are the chords, but what are the numbers for? And what does each slash mean? Do they mark when to strum?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
