Yes you would. Some find the riff easier to play in E on 3rd capo but it sounds better in G when playing with an acoustic.

I tried that riff in key of G and it sounded weird =/ I usually start the B string on fret 10 which sounds right, but then have no clue where to go from there.

Answer:
If you are playing with the cd you would have to tune down one step or move all the notes down one fret. Did you make sure to do that?
