Bible Study Advice
Question: I am 16 and want to start a bible study group at my school. I just don't know where to start. There are so many problems, I am just trusting God on all of this. How did you get your Bible study started? I would really apreciate some advice if you have any. It'd really be beneficial to find some strong believers amongst the faculty at your school. That way, you would have a sponsor(s) and it'd be more likely to be approved by the authority. Plus, they could help it get going, and would relieve quite a bit of pressure from getting everything started. Answer: I'm of Simple Servant's opinion. Get a core group of firm believers going first, then start reaching out to people. And one more thing: I really respect you for commencing such an undertaking, God bless. Answer: Ok soo heres the thing.. ive never started a bible study, but heres how i would go about it find some strong christians in your school... whether it be some of the staff or some of you friends or other students, if you go into this alone, it may become frustrating and hard to handle start it out small and let God work his magic, encourge people to invite friends itll grow soon enough but like i said have a couple of firm leader to help you along thats an awesome ambition by the way keep going strong Answer: Ask for help from your pastor or youth pastor. If you don't go to a church with pastors who are able to help you, ask a friend who has a pastor or youth pastor that can. You'll also need to speak with a principal or vice principal about when you can use facilities, if you can post advertisements, and that sort of thing. Finally, I would encourage you to work very closely with a pastor or youth pastor to plan lessons and study the Word before you plan to lead a study. I've been a youth minister for almost 8 years, and I still spend several hours in study for every lesson I teach. Your desire to do this is excellent, and I pray that God will bless your efforts. I praise God for the work of His Holy Spirit in your heart! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
