Here is some advice on life
Question: For all those who have the slightest piece of advice on life, please post it here. Then when people feel that there is no point to life like I have many time, they can come here and get some serious advice and hopfully some funny advice to cheer them up. Thank you for your posts. -Laukala Answer: Here is some advie I came up with Life is a gift. If you do what you were intendended to do with your gift, it will last as long as it was intended to do so and give an endless supply of joy. If you live your live as you were intended to do so, you may not always be happy but you will always be joyfull. If you try to use this gift for things it wasn't intended for, it will not do the right thing you want it to and things will not go your way. So is the same in life. If you stray from Gods plan for you, your life will not be what you want it to be. Things will go wrong untill you find what you are doing wrong and fix it. You may be living in Gods plan and things may not always go your way cause God is testing you to see how faithfull you are. God will not test you past your abilities so you should never think that there is no hope. God is the only hope for me anymore. When all else goes wrong the one person I can cry out to no matter where I am or how alone I feel, is my savior, Jesus Christ. Answer: Life is pain. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something. Answer: My advice is save your fork! I heard a story one time about this lady(don't recall her name) who had died and at her funeral the preacher had handed everyone a fork. As you can imagine a lot of the people were puzzled as to why they were being given a fork at a funeral. Well the preacher explained. He said that when this lady was a little girl whenever she would go to dinner after she had finished eating she would always save her fork. The reason being she always new that after she ate all her dinner that her mother would bring out a warm, delicious slice of homemade apple pie. The preacher then compared this too life. He said we all must go through the ups and downs of life in order to experience the prize at the end. He said we needed to "save our forks" and not give up in life because the sweetest is yet to come--heaven!! So save your forks!! Answer: Here is some Life is FULL of hard times and times where we might not think God is there(been there done that) but God is always there. I know it sounds cheesy but when you are going through something hard, think of the footsteps poem..."when you saw only one set of footprints it was then that i carried you" Life has those times but there is a lesson to be learned and something wonderful at the end!!!! DONT GIVE UP ON GOD AND DONT GIVE UP ON LIFE Answer: It's actually a saying by Robert Frost. It says: "In three words I can sum up everything that I've learned about life: it goes on. " Answer: For some reason I can't stop thinking about this. Life is like a toaster, You have to wait for the toaster to finish cooking the toast before you can eat it. the toast is the prize. How you live your life will determine your reward in heaven. If you don't put time into the things you do and do a poor job, you will not be glorifying God and therefore will recieve a "poor" reward. But if you put time and effort into your works, good will put time and effort into the reward he has waiting for you in heaven. WOW... I have no clue where I'm coming up with this stuff. I feel intelligent. Answer: Here is some advice on life: This does not belong in advice, but General Discussion. Advice is for asking for advice, not general advice threads. Well sorry. Advice is advice to me. It dosen't mean I want advice, it dosn't mean I'll give advice. It just means advice. So when I see the word advice as a forum title, I would asume it has to do with advice. any area of advice. Answer: the oficial description of the advice forum is: Have some questions/problems and you'd like to hear what other Christians suggest? Here's your forum. sorry. (that does need to be a little more out in the open.) Answer: Dont get upset when mods move your threads and leave smart remarks about the fact that they had to move it... P.S. Enjoy Life. Answer: My advice: when moving a thread, leave a smart remark. ~Jon Answer: Originally Posted by alli89 My advice is save your fork! I've heard this story, only the dead lady wanted the fork in her hand so when people came up and saw her, they'd see the fork then the pastor could explain why she was holding her fork. I have some advice. When life give you lemons, make lemonade. Well, where did life get the lemons? Did life steal the lemons from someone? Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
