Forgiveness
Question: I am new...and I was wondering how it is possible to forgive someone who doesn't need your forgiveness? I turned my life over to the Lord which meant ending my 4yr. realtionship with my boyfriend because he chooses not walk a Christian walk. He claims to love me and care about me and that he has a fear of the Lord but, I just don't see it in his actions. He know's he did me wrong and apologized but, his apologies mean nothing anymore. I told him I didn't think he needed my forgiveness. Was this the right thing to do? Answer: If this is what was/is in your heart then, yes. Edit: welcome to CGR Answer: You told him he doesn't need your forgiveness. So does that mean that you're unwilling to forgive him because you don't think he needs it? You couldn't be more wrong. What if Christ had told you the same thing? Also, what was he doing that you believe he isn't "walking the Christian walk". He says he loves you and the Lord, what does he do to make you doubt his sincerety? Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
