Transfering--any advice?
Question: I've decided it's time for me to leave this small school with its limited options in my field (computer science) behind. I'll be transfering to IUPUI (Indiana University and Purdue University at Indianapolis) this fall, assuming my application for transfer gets accepted. Among other things, I will have to deal with an entirely different style of education (i.e., wide-ranging liberal arts style vs. very focused, career-oriented style), a much larger campus, and moving into my own apartment (I'll have to get my own place because their dorms are worthless and it's too far to commute). Does anybody have any advice for me about transferring to a different school or moving out on my own? (Mostly, I'm looking for practical things, such as the little things that you forgot, etc.) Answer: Make sure that as many credits transfer as possible. Usually if you fight with the college a little bit, and get a little creative in your argumentation, they'll take credits they would ordinarily refuse. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
