asked to give testemony
Question: I was asked last week to give my testemony about Ethan and how he was healed by one of the mom's at Matthew's school. The thing is I don't go to this church (well, any church at the moment). I am just not really sure that it is okay to do this. What do you guys think? Is it okay to give a testamony at a church you are not a member of? I have been praying about God to show me where he wants me to go to church. Maybe this is his way of letting me know. But I am a little on the unsure side of speaking to people about Ethan that I don't know. Not to mention I am still a little bit on the skiddish side when it comes to churches. Any advice? Answer: Well, was Ethan really healed by this woman? Answer: I've given a testimony at a church that I wasn't a member of. There is nothing wrong with it if they ask you to do it. Answer: Is it ok to give your testimony to someone walking down the street? Peace Answer: Originally Posted by ChrisHarbison Well, was Ethan really healed by this woman? Sorry I meant that she was the one who asked me to give the testemony. God healed Ethan over a year ago now. The story is in the testemonies. Sorry bad wording and no sleep. Bad Combo. Answer: Originally Posted by smitty2622 Is it ok to give your testimony to someone walking down the street? Peace Yes, that is kinda how she heard it. Answer: i think you should give your testimony and by that you are going to meet people and make friendships and that may be why you cant find a church is cause you dont know the people personnaly.one thing though dont join there church if it;s a cult. Answer: Your testimony can encourage people and help build faith, I don’t see how that can be bad anywhere especially in a Church where your brothers and sisters meet regularly. I would say do it every chance you get. Peace Answer: Sure, if your boy was healed a year ago, by all means, testify to the mercy and healing power of our Almighty God. Answer: Any advice? Praise God, look at what He has done! I don't see why you shouldn't share with these people. We should proclaim at all times, in season and out, the wonders of the grace of God. So long as you are asking for advice, I would advise very seriously thinking of our command not to adamdon our assembly together. I followed the saga of what you and your family went through, and I would be lying if I said I had an experience with a church that bad. I cannot blame you for being jaded. However, we are not given a choice in Scripture of whether or not to be part of a community of believers, I know I'm not telling you anything new, but, well, I think it is important not to neglect telling you so. Answer: Thank you all. Mike I am going to go to church.I am going to try going to this church. I think this situation came up for a reason. Especially since I have been praying about a church. Thank you all for the advice. Btw the way I think that was a very interesting comment a few back. Answer: Originally Posted by Gracie Love Thank you all. (Plus I just love being reminded of my old home. sob.) Have you visited my old church yet? Answer: Originally Posted by loriborealis What church is it by the way? It is Hyland Park Assembly of God on Crossover. No I haven't. I am having sleeping problems again and haven't been going to any church. I wake up from less than 2 hours of sleep and can't do much more than feed the kids and take care of them. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
