at whits end....
Question: I have prayed and prayed. I have went to the altar and left my burdens there. I have read Psalms 55:22 over and over. I know I have given my burdens and transgressions to the Lord.... I just cant overcome the overwhelming feelings of sorrow I have. I know that all the Lord sees now is the blood, and I am cleansed, I cant shake the feeling of being, well, broken. I feel so broken and hurt. The only time I feel help or comfort is at church, and when I am there, I am so consumed by my emotions I cry the whole time. I am to the point where I am at the end of my rope, and Jesus is telling me to tie a knot in the end of it and hold on. pray for me please. Answer: hi. welcome to CGR. the thing that kinda stuck out at me while reading your post was the "broken" part. That's when God can use us best, you know. When we're shattered and all we have left is Him. and it's ok to be sad. I'll be praying for you. Answer: Here's something I posted in another thread earlier today, and I think it applies here as well.. Originally Posted by Kato Hey, makes me think of this scripture. Also Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD ; he turned to me and heard my cry.2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD. Pretty much what I'm trying to say is, God is there for you. As long you put your trust in God, he's there for you. I'll be here also- although, I'm known for being happy so I'm not exactly the best person to goto. Be patient, God may be forming you for something much larger, and something more greater. Answer: You can still be sad and be faithfull to God. Just think of Job. The man lost everything. Children, home, livelyhood, friends, everything. He was inflicted with sores and sat with a stone from the fire scratching them. I think it's pretty safe to say that he was at his lowest point sitting there. His wife told him to curse God. To give up on God. And what did Job do? He told his wife off and asked why we should accept the good times from God and not the bad. Job remained faithfull through his entire ordeal and at the end, God rewarded him by doubling everything he had before. Just hang in there and don't give up.
