Lost and Dying

Question:
I feel like I'm lost and dying inside. It feels like all that I am is spiralling downward and out of control so that there is nothing I can do to get it back. I have lost all inward strength and motivation and I lack the will power to get up in the morning. I feel like I have absolutely no hope left and that God has left me. For the same reasons that Agrimes gave months ago, I feel like I have no faith or hope left. If you look at suicide websites, they have lists of the things to look for in people contemplating suicide. I am experiencing pretty much all the emotional ones and though I have never considered suicide to be an option I am scared at where I might be down the road. I feel like I'm canoeing in rapids without a paddle.
Answer:
Grab a paddle. Look for one that says "Holy Bible" on the front and has 66 books (+ however many deuterocanonical books there are if you're catholic ).
Psalm 119:28

"Yet this I call to mind and therefore have great hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, 'The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.'" Lamentations 3:21-24

God's faithfulness for you will never fail; he has not forsaken you. It is during these periodic depressions that you must realize that you are fully at God's mercy and must rely on him for hope and purpose.

"'Everything is meaningless.' What does man gain from all his labor at which he toils under the sun? Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever... What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. There is no remembrance of men of old, and even those who are yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow." Ecclesiastes 1:2-11

God reinforces the fact that every earthly gain is meaningless without God. Your purpose is not earthly accomplishment, and you will not find fulfillment or meaning anywhere but God.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
" John 15:5-6

What kind of hope do you have but for God? Apparently, the painful truth is that without God you can accomplish nothing.
