Okay, I know there are likely some educators or people studying to be educators around here. So...
1. What do you want to teach?
2. What age group do you want to teach?
3. Why do you want to be a teacher?
Answer:
1. Literature of some sort. I haven't made up my mind -- but it'll be in the English field.
2. College kids.
3. I just never want to lose that interaction and stimulation I'm getting now. After seeing two of my English professors just loving what they were doing I knew I could do the same thing. One of my English professors even recommended that I go into English.

I feel a lot like you Slap j.. I would probably teach highschool English or History. I really enjoy them both. I really enjoy the little bit of teaching at church that I do. I really like the interaction.

After I obtain my Masters, I want to teach at a Community College part time, and work full time.

I'm not studying to be a teacher, but I have taught and so...yah.
I taught computers for elementary students and drama for secondary students.
I prefer to teach Jr and Sr high, though I've taught K-12
Why? I love it. Particularly, I love being involved in the lives of students...and I love to push them to be who they can be as opposed to being settled with what someone else tells them (ie--I had one kid who thought he was worthless and stupid because his parents treated him like that...he's a great kid and he was able to tap into some of his potential--mostly because i pushed him a little too hard, but it worked nonetheless). I love being able to break the stereotypical view of a teacher and communicate that yes, I am the teacher, but I also care.
I hope to go back to teaching in some form someday.

I have to agree, those are probably a few of the main reasons I would teach.
I teach on Tuesday nights,(well it isn't like a school teacher) But I have kids read their memory verses to me and I review it with them to make sure they understand it . I really enjoy that, and I also enjoyed VBS. I worked with Preschool up to community seniors. I am turning 18 shortly, and I will be teaching a whole lot more. I really look forward to it.

3. I want to teach because I loved school as a kid. I love learning. I wanna help kids learn. I get along extremely well with kids and it's something I've wanted to do for a long time now. There really is no other profession I could see my self doing for the rest of my life.
