im looking into becoming one, but can't find out a whole lot of info. i thought itd be cool to check and see if there were any of yall out there who were/are physical trainers so you could answer some of my questions like salary, college courses, and different schools that offer this field of study.

Well you can just take the personal training course offered by the organization that you want to represent. It all depends on your goals. If you want to be a physical trainer in a gym, you probably won't need a degree. You will just need a certification. If you want to work in a rehab of some sort, a degree might be more beneficial.
Also, keep in mind that not all certifications are recognized everywhere. YOu will want to be certified with an organization that is reputable and recognized.
The most recogized organizations seem to be the ACSM, NSCA, and NASM.
