Question:
What do you do when you get advice from all your closest most trusted friends, who you know all of them are way closer to God then you, all of them are amazing christians, and have such good understanding of life.... and each of them gives advice that conflicts with the advice all the others give.

How do you figure out who's advice is right? How do you figure out what the truth is, and what is right for you. How do you decided who to believe?

well yes but if the answer was in scripture, I don't supose i'd need the advice of others, and if I did, their advice would not be so contradictory.

Generally when people give advice, it’s based on some kind of life experience or a trial they’ve been through. The best advice probably comes from the person whose experiences closely match yours except they’ve already been through what you’re asking about. Their advice becomes more valuable if they’ve made more mistakes than you have. In this way hopefully they can help you avoid some of the same mistakes they made. So it could be that both people are right at different levels, this leaves you to figure out what level you’re at and how to deal with the situation at hand. Most people don’t try to give bad advice, but if they have no real idea of the circumstances or the cost of beating the circumstances their advice however well intended is usually not as good as the person who’s been there done that. No two people are the same different things work for different people so conflicting advice can at times be helpful. That should be as clear as mud….
