My best friend is getting married in 2 months, and I am throwing a shower in her honor (I'm 18, she's 19). The thing is, she is not going to be here. I live in MI and she lives in GA. I graduate the weekend of her wedding, so I can't make it. So anyways, she has alot of friends here in MI. I need ideas! We are going to video tape the fun stuff, take lots of pictures and send all of her gifts to her. Does anybody know any bridal shower ideas? What did you do at your bridal shower?
Answer:
I had 3 and each of them were different. At each of them I had a beautiful cake, punch, and lots of great orderves. They were all decorated in my wedding colors, pictures of me and my husband were placed around, and they also had my wedding flowers as well. Basically incorperate the wedding theme (colors/flowers) in the shower and other than that it's a lot of eating, talking, and opening gifts. Something fun we did at my shower was pass around a very nicely decorated journal so that people could write down a bit of encouragement or advise (from the married people) to my husband and I. We now have that book sitting on our coffee table. Also, at the wedding shower the bride saves the bows off the gifts and makes a bouquet out of them for her rehearsal.

I've only had a kitchen tea where they attempted to "embarress" me in some way or another and I opened lots of presents that was for my kitchen, and lots of food of course.
