Hey-
I posted in the prayer forum yesterday for two friends of mine that really need help. One of them has a mother that is both phisicly and psycologicly abusive to her. As a result, she became anorexic, and she also cuts herself. She is a Christian, but she just can't stop. I don't always know the best way to help her, and need some advice from people. I would really apreciate it. I can't tell you whats wrong with my other friend, but I know how to help her. Please pray for them; they both mean alot to me and I would really like to see them get better. And prayer is the best thing anyone can do for them. Thanks so much for reading this!

Well the age of the cutter is an important factor. If she is 18 or better--strongly encourage her to get out of that house and have her seek living spaces with a very patient tender beleiving family. A Christian psych would do well with the cutting and self image issues leading her to be a cutter.
OIf she is a minor, and if the physical abuse is of such a nature--either an adult could file suit for removal or the states DSS could be called. I am not in favor of that last option for it removes the girl from spiritual help. But the girl should be removed from the abusdive mother and possibly abuse charges filed against her.

I didn't know about the other post; but no, we are'nt talking about the same people. They are two girls in diffrent situations. Oh, the one girl is underage, and her and her mom are councelling right now; they are trying to get thru it without havnig to split up the family. But thats the situation so far. Thanks, guys!
