Secrets
Question: So I've got this secret, but I feel like I should tell someone. I have been told not to and been told that it would only cause more bad things than good. Any ideas on what I should do? Answer: Can you let us know the significance of the secret, or the circumstances surrounding it? Why do you feel like you should tell someone and not honor what you told someone else? My gut feeling is that you should keep it unless it is for somebody else's good; and you should especially keep it if you know that nothing good will come of it. Well . . . its 'hard to go into detail without giving it away. It's nothing but lies and I don't believe this person should be lying. I encourage them not to but they won't listen. I don't know what good or bad will come of it, but I don't want them to continue to lie and there are trying to get me to help them which means I have to lie. . . . yea. That enough? Answer: I'm kind of confused, but I just propose that you help this person out with their lying habit with something else, like a talk or with Scripture or something else besides betraying a secret. I really don't understand much of what you said, so I really don't grasp the importance of the secret here. If you would clarify, that would be great, though. I'm just confused because so far I only see two parties involved, one of them being you. Answer: Hmm...I'd say, unless someone would be harmed/hurt by your not telling, then I'd just keep my mouth shut. If you're certain that the secret you know is a bunch of lies, then I'd let it in one ear and out the other and go about my life. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
