if you do bad sins then wouldn't satan be happy and be your friend in hell?
i'm not sayin i have done anything bad or that i worship the devil. i just heard that question from someone once and i still wonder about it.

Satan is not in charge in hell. Satan is being punished in hell - just like everyone else. God is in charge of hell.
There is nothing to be gained from committing "bad sins", because no one who wants you to commit bad sins has any power to reward you.

first of all satan is not interested in you as a friend. he's interested in you, but only to make you an enemy of God. satan is only about himself- no other.
i had a friend answer this- 'cause i wasn't sure of the answer. look up the rich man and lazarus. the rich man, who was allegedly a "friend" of satan's, is asking abraham for a drink to cool his tongue- doesn't sound like that good of a time to me.

As has already been mentioned, Satan is being punished in hell. To be in hell is to experience the full and relentless wrath of God. You will be all alone, it's not a party. You'll be in such anguish that even if you had everything you're heart has ever wanted, you'd not be able to enjoy it because you'd be in such pain and anguish that it'd all be meaningless to you.

Hell was made 4 Devil adn angels not 4 us but coz we sinned we don't deserve God. so we have to be seperated from him unless we ask forgvness then we are worthy to know God.

Hell was created as punishment for the wicked. Satan and all the demons, as well as all people who hate and reject God, will be tormented in Hell forever. Hell is not Satan's kingdom; it's his eternal prison, eternity without parole, forever.
In cartoons and movies, they make it out like Satan and the demons run Hell as their own place; the people who made those cartoons and stuff didn't read the Bible enough.

first off, it's sad that more preachers and teachers are not teaching about hell these days. a lot of them only want to talk about the good stuff, the stuff people want to hear about.

anyways, as far as hell goes it is horrible and i'm sure far more horrible than anyone here can even imagine. and it's eternal. you think you've had a bad day or felt pain on earth? multiply that by about a billion and then some and imagine that happening ALL the time. maybe you can relate it to that.
the worst part of hell of course is eternal seperation from God. just think of all that goes along with that. wow. i don't even want to imagine life without God.

I do not believe hell is eternal seperation from God, you are not seperated from God, you are no longer recieving any mercy from Him (if your alive and not in hell at this moment... even unsaved... your recieving a great mercy) and are being made to bear to full weight of His wrath.

It is certainly a Sunday school myth that hell is merely the absence of God. God is omnipresent, and He is present even in hell:
Psalm 139:8
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
The difference is that in hell God is not presence with patience, mercy, love, or grace. In hell He is present in wrath, anger, justice and punishment. He has all of these in His dealings with humans on earth, but in hell it is only the latter group, as He pours out judgment for all eternity on those who rejected Christ.

right, i didn't mean "hell is merely the absence of God".
i was thinking of God as love. God *is* love. and no one will be receiving that love in hell.

Haven't you guys ever read The Far Side comic strip? I think Gary Larsen made it pretty clear that it was miserable. No electric fans, theaters only showing reject B-rated movies, magazine racks full of stupid magazines like Home and Garden, advertizements for popsicles, tables of cookies, but no milk in the refrigerator (oh wait, that was a milk commercial), etc. Can you truly think of anything worse?
