Are you doing what you trained for in college?
Question: So, are you doing what you studied in college? Answer: No one's responding to this thread? I know I'm not doing what I did in college. I majored in Applied Mathematics back in college and now I'm pastoring, so that's a big change. Answer: Well, I'm only in my first year of college and I'm working at a coffee shop. But, non-occupation wise I am: I'm going to be majoring in Children's Ministry and I do a whole lot of it at church and other places (though I don't get paid). Answer: it's a staggering number that will never work in the field that they've gotten degrees in. I mean, sure, electrical engineers typically go into engineering, but not always. I know very few people who's career paths were what they majored in. Heck, my dad has been writing computer software for 32 years, and his bachelors is in bible & christian ministry. :P Answer: So far I'm doing what I'm studying. I'm studying Forestry and working in wildland fire management, which is a part of forest management. Answer: I took pre-health, which is just a prep course and then I took Personal Support Worker (which is called something else in the US) but I'm not working in that field for various reasons. Answer: I took Medical Office Assistant and I am now working at tech. support for a company in town here. Quite far off from where I studied..! Peace and love, Rhonda. Answer: Yes. I am an EMT. I will be going back to school for Paramedic. Then, I will do that. Answer: Tick-tack-toe! Three health professionals in a row! Answer: Originally Posted by Rhonda Schofield Tick-tack-toe!
