Cat Stuck on a Roof
Question: Yes yes...I know this will seem pretty stupid compared to some of the other threads... However, I have a very friendly cat who won't budge on top of a garage roof. This garage is a seperate building from the house. The roof material is virtually a concrete tile (not exactly the best traction). So this cat is at the very top (about 20 feet in the air). I found a ladder that will reach up to the "bottom" of the roof, but I'm still about 15 feet away from the cat (who won't budge-even with me offering tuna)... So, climbing up on the roof is pretty much out of the question (unless I get shoes with more traction). I also have things fear of heights...so yeah. I'm alone right now (my dad will probably come at lunch time) and I am house-sitting for friends (this isn't my cat). I'm somewhat out in the country, so there is only really 1 neighbor (who I've never even met) close by, and I'm not sure that they're the "let's climb up on a roof" type of people.... So yeah, any tips on how to get this cat down? *edit* Oh, and this is a fairly "indoors" cat. She has also been on the roof all night long, so I'm thinking she's not going to go anywhere anytime soon by herself.... Answer: Call the fire department? Answer: Let the cat be. She got up there by herself and she's not foolish. She will find her way down even if she has to jump down. Cat's usually land on all fours so it won't harm her. She will get down when she's good and ready. Answer: the cat came down on her own *Thanks, God!* And thank you guys, JaytheK and Thamar for replying It would've been *very* awkward to have the Fire Dept show up Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
