money issues
Question: hi! any matured Christian perspective is welcome the moment I click post to this thing. i just have issues with regard to trusting God with my finances lately. Everytime I run out of cash, I get so depressed. It got really bad that I could no longer pay the Internet bills and get enough money to get a bus ride to the university where I am still finishing my degree. And I don't want to bother my loved ones about it and I end up bottling everything. I was crying out to God, but I just felt like I am drowning and that no one would catch me the moment I hit rock bottom. Dear reader, just in ase you are starting to get bored, I would suggest you move on to another thread okay. There are just these days where I feel like everything around me is trying to eat up at whatever is left of my faith. I just cried and cried for four hours three days ago and I just felt so frustrated at myself, asking myself where my faith is. My prayer life is being attacked and I could no longer pray as much as I used to these days. I guess that's the root of the problem. I hope someone who experienced this same thing would post something that would help me overcome my tendencies to lose faith when i lose my money. Answer: Hi Helene. I would just like to start off by saying that you aren't the only one with money problems, and sometimes God takes us through things to make us stronger. Maybe this is what he is doing in your life right now, so that later in life you will be able to help others. Are you working? Could you possibly find a better job? I will be praying for you. Now when it comes to paying for internet service. The internet is a luxury, not a necessity. If you don't have enough money to pay for you bus rides I suggest that you either cancel your internet service, or at least downgrade it. Get you priorities in order. There is a spiritual battle that presses on in all of our lives. Just keep pressing on, and do what you know is right. You will make it through this. Don't be ashamed to ask for a little cash from you family. I am sure that they would help you out no questions asked, and if they do ask, could they possibly buy your bus pass for you. Answer: I don't have much advice, but I'll be keeping you in my prayers. God bless, Helene Answer: Originally Posted by jengoesup I don't have much advice, but I'll be keeping you in my prayers. God bless, Helene same here. What are you doing for work? But I guess that would be the natural answer, and wouldn't help your faith issues. Maybe find a couple good books on faith, believing for finances, ect. If you want, PM me & i'll give you a couple suggestions. Just know that you're not the only one with financial issues.
