As for me:
As I've posted before, I work at a coffee shop. My boss is very, very intense - but a great guy. I appreciate the fact that he is encouraging to all of us, yet tells the truth. Funny though... tonight, we had a staff meeting and he mentioned that he needed to talk to me. It's a bit scary with this guy, just 'cause you never know if he's gonna say something unimportant or tell you that you're too selfish and need to repent. :P Anyway, he had me come over, about 10 feet from the group as everyone was leaving... and the funny thing is that he's on crutches from a sports injury. He made me all nervious just to tell me that there's a chance I may only be working a half shift on Saturday. *sigh* At least he communicated.

the one had a mullet and the other seemed like he could have been homosexual. together them were awesome also since i was one of the people who actually got the job done right and quickly, they didn't care if we called out every so often for no reason. my one friend was told them he twisted his ankle and couldn't walk, but he didn't. the next day he showed up to work dancing around and stuff and the guy with the mullet was like, "wow, a miraculus healing" and noone got in toruble

My old boss was from Pakistan, he was fat and lazy but he was hilarious. He boosted moral and brought great merriment. He had an expansive repertoire of jokes and anecdotes ( most of them "dirty" ) you couldn't help but laugh ... maybe its the accent?

the best thing about my boss is that he'll rarely will tell you when you did something wrong, but that is at the same time not too good.
anyway the best advise i can give: tell your employees when they are doing a good job (in person, prefferable) that works way better than telling them that they do a poor job, when they do.
