My Foot

Question:
I injured my right foot Friday night when I was standing on my chair and fell off. I think as I was falling, the top of my foot hit, was pressed against, and scraped on the edge of the chair and my shin also was hit on the way down. And now my foot is in pain. There has been a large bruise covering about half of the top of my foot since Friday night, it's been swollen, and today I found a weird bump and indent, which are both very painful.
It doesn't really hurt when I walk barefoot (at the most, it feels stiff) and I can stand on my tiptoes without pain, but stretching my toes (it feels really tight when I do that), tapping my foot forcefully on the ground, walking with sandals/shoes, and even lightly touching the top of my foot causes pain (and sometimes quite a lot of pain). So what I'm wondering is, is this just a bruise or is there something more wrong here? Should I go to the doctor or would that be pointless since it doesn't bother me much to walk on it?
Answer:
Go to the doctor, you could've broken something. I don't think anyone on here is qualified to give you medical advice (I take the time now to apologize to anyone who I am not aware of as being a doctor on this site )

Answer:
Elevate it and get an ice pack on it. Stay off of it as much as you can, then decide whether you need to see a doctor in the morning. At the risk of giving online medical advice, I probably wouldn't go to the ER on a Sunday night with this injury.
