That's a mighty long thread, so I'll offer some synchronous advice: keep yourself in your mind at all times, and don't get caught up in the moment. Set yourself some boundaries that you will keep for yourself - talking about them with him/her brings them to mind and encourages breaking them (trust me, I know). If you stay in your mind, then those boundaries won't be crossed accidentally because, well, everything you were doing was deliberate.
