"only eat when your hungry"
Question: I had my doctor give me that advice once, when explaining how to know how much to eat durring a day. I've discovered that it doesn't take much food before i'm no longer hungry. Does that mean that I do not need much food? I can't look up the calories in everything i eat, and are those calorie counters even that accurate? How do you even know how many calories your supose to have? i know they have a method, but how accurate is it? anyways, just wondering what you'all thought about it. what your doctors say, what you do, etc. Answer: Originally Posted by Becky I had my doctor give me that advice once, when explaining how to know how much to eat durring a day. Answer: Becky, is your weight within range for your height? You can PM me if that's too personal, but it's a critical before anyone can respond intelligently to your question. Answer: According to the BMI chart stuff, because of my hight, i'm supose to weigh about 120, 125 would be ok. 135, would be over weight, if the site was accurate. I've weight over 130 since I was 13, Now i'm more like 140. Being little (4'11) makes it hard to stay in a healthy weight range Answer: 4’11” break out the medieval body stretcher, ok really those BMI things just make me mad are you happy with your appearance? I wouldn’t worry too much about it no need getting stressed out your beautiful just because your you!!! Besides at 120 Lbs a slight wind might blow you to the next town. I think the idea of just eating when your hungry should be fine now if I could just get not hungry…. Being little (4'11) makes it hard to stay in a healthy weight range BMI can also be misleading, as muscle weighs more than fat, so if you're particularly active it'll be off. Someone I know is absolutely within her bodyfat ratio and is gorgeous, but the BMI chart had her ranked as "obese" because she had a good deal of muscle mass. I think the doctor's advice is pretty reasonable for you. If you eat a variety of healthy foods, and just eat until you are no longer hungry, you will probably do quite well for yourself. The key, of course, is in making sure that the foods you eat are well balanced - which is a big challenge for a lot of people! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
