Question:
Hello there. Well as alot of people know i am moving in a little less than 4 months. I am just seeking some advice on this situation. My father is leaving in 17 days or so. I wont see him until I move, which isnt until November 13th.
Its too far away to just drive and see him. Also when we move it will just be my parents and myself. Which leaves my brother (17) and two sisters (21,19)
Naturally we are waiting until my brother turns 18. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice that will help keep my family close. Anything would be appreciated!

I'll recommend a few things.....I think communication shouldn't be underestimated.....sometimes just a short call in the morning can be enough to let them know you care.....so a main thing is to keep in touch...whether by letter, phone, or email or whatever....another thing you could try is to organize some family get together whether to just hang or a board game night or a movie or whatever.....there's a few ideas hope they helped.....

yea...i had planned on Emailing... I would have to keep the phone calling to a minimum it will be long distance..way long distance haha
i dont know about the game night idea cause my family is NEVER home together

i moved away from my best friend a really long time ago. her and i email eachother every day and we're still best friends. it should work out for you. also send letters, which are more special than e-mails even. that REALLY lets them know that you care.

Do all that they had said plus little things that show that you care. A random card then special event cards- birthday card. letters explaining what is happing in your life. Then what my family did was that we got together for the holidays. Switching on who has to buy the plane ticket. Little things make big differences.
