In need of scripture resource...
Question: I am finding myself wanting to go to the bible for assistance with many daily issues, but I do not have the knowlege to know where to look for certain topics. Anyone know of good resources that would aid me? Answer: www.biblegateway.com Answer: In your bible(or at least most) their should be a page that lists many topics like anger or jealousy or persecution etc., it has many topics. I dont know if your Bible has this page but all the Bibles i have have a page like this. This page is either somewhere in the front of your bible or in the back of it. Hope it helps. God bless, Dan Answer: My bible has a part for listing topics but there are some specific topics I was unable to find. Thanks for the URL. Answer: It maybe easier to get the advice you want if you list the specific topics you’re interested in. Peace Answer: In the back of my Bible, there's a subject guide, it's rather useful. Another useful item that you may find, is a concordance. By the way, do you play America's Army? Just curious . I saw the symbol in your avatar, and it reminded me of AA. Answer: i had this one book In Search of Holiness i think, and it helped me while reading it it talks about issues and problems, refrences in the bible and it really helped so i thougth that might help; but im sure theres more than one book like that.. also i recommend downloading these:e-sword orSwordSearcher i have both of them on my desktop, and most of them you can type in things in a search bar and they have commentary so yea.. good luck Answer: Originally Posted by kquamme94 I am finding myself wanting to go to the bible for assistance with many daily issues, but I do not have the knowlege to know where to look for certain topics. Anyone know of good resources that would aid me? I think....you can have all the advice or reference books in the world...but more than anything, you just need to get yourself into the Bible and read the thing. Once you have a good familiarity with what's in there yourself, from having spent a good time reading it and trying to grasp what's in there, you'll have a much better idea of how to use the advice or reference books that others might recommend to you. Answer: www.bibletopics.com but they are in KJV version I think Answer: if you have some money to spend...maybe a "topical bible" you can get the Nave's Topical Bible off of CBD.com for 14.99. I am sure you can pick one up at lifeway bookstore or any bookstore for about the same price. Either that or just go to biblegateway.com and look up a theme or something you're looking for and find the verses that have that word or phrase in it, then follow cross references. Maybe try that way if you don't wanna spend any money Answer: Biblegateway worked for me, and not because I needed to learn how to read. Just look up verses and things that are relavent, write them down and stick them in your bible. Some bibles have blank pages in them in the front of back- don't hesitate to make good use of them.
