Question: My friend is in a contry and i told himill bring him back but i cant it cost around 4,000 a ticket i told im ill show mi pastor and so fair igot $500 i dont know how to get the money and get him back Answer: I'm not sure I understood all that, so tell me if I'm right: Your friend is in another country and can't get home. You told him that you could get him a ticket (for an airplane? bus?) so he could get home, but now you have realized you can't afford it. Is that right so far? I didn't understand the part about the pastor or you being ill - could you explain that? Also, what country are you from? And what country is your friend in now? I really don't know what to tell you about how to get the money. Do you know anyone who has that much money and would be willing to help you? Answer: More info needed. Answer: This sounds suspiciously like a situation my girlfriend was in a few years ago. She's had a penpal from one of the "-stan" countries (I think it's Kazakhstan) for quite a number of years, and they wrote to each other about every six months to a year. Anyway, sometime a couple of years ago, my girlfriend's penpal sent a letter saying something about her family being in financial trouble (I think that was the basic idea, IIRC) and that she really needed to get to America for some reason. She asked my girlfriend to procure about $10,000 to pay for the trip and various related expenses. I don't remember what exactly my girlfriend wrote back, but it was (obviously) a refusal of sorts. The moral of the story is this: It's alright to refuse when someone makes a request for such a huge sum of money.... especially if they're "just a friend" and not a really close friend or a family member. With the tiny bit of information you provided, it's hard to tell exactly what is going on in your situation. It could be anything from a situation like my girlfriend's, to you looking to ship an internet lover to your home country so that you can meet them (no offense to your character, and I'm not implying this is the case, I'm just saying that it could be with the little information you've given us). It would be REALLY REALLY helpful if you could tell us a little bit more about what's going on here. In His love, Nate Answer: Originally Posted by Strat_dude Is that right so far? In easier to understand wording his post would read as follows. "My friend is in another country and I told him I'll bring him back but I can't it costs around $4,000 a ticket. I told him I would show my (not sure what is being shown, a letter most likely) pastor and so far I got $500. I dont know how to get the money and get him back." A few corrections make it easier to read, but it is still vague. Answer: thx Answer: Originally Posted by YAMAHA thx ??? I don't want to sound mean or hatefull... but... for what?
