did you ever question?
Question: did you ever have to stop and really ask yourself if this person was really truly the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with? if so, how did you decided the person was really the one? Answer: Originally Posted by Becky did you ever have to stop and really ask yourself if this person was really truly the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with? if so, how did you decided the person was really the one? I asked that question, and decided they WEREN't the one. Answer: I've done the same. I think you can be in love with someone who you absolutley shouldnt marry. I think that the trick is to wait until you know for sure. If you have any doubts take them seriously and if you do get married, realize that it is a covenant you have made with god and that there is no going back. That should make you cautious enough in your partner selection. -Tk Answer: Originally Posted by FilltheEarth I asked that question, and decided they WEREN't the one. How? Yes, Time was the big key, just getting to know each other better. Then that she stuck with me through the ups and downs of life. Answer: I think that is an important question to ask until the day you stand at the alter and say "I do". It is so important to be open to what the Lord wants and realize that we could completely miss His Will because our own desires got in the way. For me I thought I knew my husband was the one a couple months after we met and I made sure I had confirmation constantly as I said even up until the day we got married. Don't get me wrong I don't mean I was ever doubting but as I said above, I was always open to the fact that God could reveal something to me that I had missed. Praise God though he confirmed it to me constantly through the word daily as well as the wise counsel in my life. I hope that makes sense . Answer: Yes, Max and I did ask ourselves this questions. With me, I was certain because God spoke to me. For Max, it had to be confirmation from others that I was the right one... now that we are married, he completely agrees. I feel the same, I need confirmation and support from others too, while my g/f is totally confident on her own. Seems kinda opposite of the usual male/female roles.
