Because we are having a ceremony outside the RC church, we can choose almost all the readings. We have a booklet that has certain readings that we can choose for different stages of the ceremony.
Does the bride or groom usually participate in any of the readings?
In addition, can also the bridal party participate or its customarily left to the guests in the church?

usually the couple will ask friends/family members to do the readings... or a pastor (youth pastor, etc...)
but if there's a poem/Scripture passage/what-have-you that you want to read your wife during the ceremony, it may be one of those beautiful, unique things that people walk away from your wedding remembering...
