Advice on where to start
Question: Hey guys (and girls.) I have a question, where should I start reading if I really want to get to know God? Is there any book you can reccomend? I figured that the whole Bible teaches you about certain aspects of God. Is there any certain book that I could really start reading that would really give me insight into God's character. (I'm talking about book sof the Bible.) Answer: I have always fallen back on Psalms and Job. But I would generally say that it's a good idea to just comb through the new testament. Answer: Psalms. The end of Job is good, however, Job has a lot of bad stuff in it as well as its Job's "friends" spouting off. Answer: I usually recommend starting with John but really any of the gospels would work well for a starting point. If you want to learn about God why not start when he was a man. From there I would recommend the rest of the New Testament, then psalms and the rest of the Old Testament. Peace Answer: This may sound kinda weird but what i did the first time i picked up a bible is litterally turn to a random page and started on what ever book i turned to... which for me was Acts. give it a try sometime.
