My Friend...*help plz*
Question: Ok, I have been friends with this girl for about 5 months, and we became close pretty fast. Over this time, I realized I had feelings for her. At this point in my life (17 years old, shes 16) I don't really want a g/f..but I cant stop myself from liking her still. And to make matters worse, she has a b/f. I'm really confused and such....Please help me. (Advice plz) Answer: I don't see what there is to be confused about. She has a boyfriend, therefore you can't date her. Plus, you say you don't want to date. This kind of give you extra incentive not to go after this girl. Answer: If you can't help your feelings for her, then stay away and do your best to forget she exists. Lean on God for His strength, and you will be able to be around her with out fearig that you will try and persue something. If you trust that God will help you control your feelings, then He will take care of you. Answer: So he should torture himself, this girl, and to a lesser extent the b/f because at 17 they're going to have the spiritual maturity to behave apropriately? My advice is just easier on everyone. You can always try to cope and go on as friends, but as you've said, we became close pretty fast, I realized I had feelings for her. I cant stop myself from liking her still, I'm really confused and such....Please help me Answer: I have had this situation before, I liked this girl whom was my best friend for like 2 years and then one day I was just like I need to do something so I sat in my room with my Bible and just sat and focused on what was going on and after a while I could litterally feel the wieght lifted and the next time I saw her those feelings were gone and I only saw my best friend. So I would deffinatly not ignor her that would make things worse but try to just sit and meditate... you would be suprised what a silent afternoon or night could do to you. Who knows you might find something you never knew was possible! Who knows you might find something you never knew was possible! Unfortantely that doesn't always happen, but that's cool that it worked for you. But I disagree with Nathanael ignoring her is not the best thing to do, and that won't necessarily help the feelings go away. I would try to just be her friend, and if the feelings go away then they do, and if they don't, don't forget to just be friends, that's how girls usually want guys to start out. Answer: Just take it one day at a time. Pray... you'll figure something out. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
