Fill your mind with the best thoughts about God possible, not just faking to impress yourself, but with the good things you know for sure about God and believe. Do this today, and as often as you think of it. As often as you can. Don't make this time a aseparate part of your life, think about what you are doing in terms of what Jesus taught you. Ask God to help you do this, for now and always.
Really, sometimes what I used to think of was faith was just a verbal formality--sure, loving and kind, etc. But that didn't work too well, since I believed God let evil happen in my life and other people's. By encountering people who had gone beyond this type of thinking and realized it's people who cause evil, not God, and he is more fair than we can imagine.
