Please pray for my brother who is tormented by a mental disease called clinical depression for almost a decade now. I find that most people (even I) don't fully understand this mental sickness. I'm finding out more myself. It's more than just "feeling blue" My brother has tried to take out his life a couple times before when he was left home alone. That's when we realized the extent of this. It's been said that it can be worse than being paralyzed as "dark clouds" blanket over you and you loose interest in everything. Even simple things become impossible tasks.
Anyways, please pray for a permanent healing for all clinically depressed as this disease tend to be recurring and keeps coming back to haunt. My brother finds it very hard to find words and focus on prayer too. I still believe in miracles and complete turnarounds with God's power cuz He is in full control.

I will pray for your brother. I understand clinical depression. It can emotionally paralyze a person.

my wife went through this and has overcame it.. came through with a lot of prayer and conviction...
it's the also the situation where God showed me his power and made me believe and repent..
now she is recovered and teaching the bible to her family..
Jesus is the only way, if somehow you can get your brother to give himself to Christ than i don't see a reason why Jesus wouldn't heal him..
nevertheless, i feel your pain in seeing a loved one suffer..

Christians suffer from clinical depression as much as non-Christians - it is not a matter of not having enough faith or not trusting Jesus to heal a person. It is a real illness, just like heart disease or diabetes. And, just like with heart disease or diabetes, we should pray for the person and know that God can heal if that is His will. Often times, God heals people through the miracle of modern medicine. I pray that your brother is getting professional help.
