Need a miracle
Question: Hello Folks, great board. I'm coming to you all seeking some serious prayer for a friend of mine and my wifes. Here is the scene: Single 33 year old mom with 13 year old boy. She is a Brazilian here in the states legally and has been abandoned by her own two brothers, also here in the same town, and by her family, now back in Brazil. She thought she won a battle with cancer, but recently found out she basically has about 8 months to live. She has not told her son about the time frame yet, I suppose she is not sure what his reaction would be. My wife and I befriended her nearly ten years ago, and when she disappeared for a short bit, we though she had died from the cancer. Truth be told, she lost our number and didn't know how to contact us after we had moved to a different state and back again. But, she has finally re-appeared in our lives, and I believe it has happend on God's perfect time clock. Recently she was let go from her previous work due to many doctor appointments and lots of pain just getting out of bed. Please pray that God would give her a miracle. I know she needs to come up with about $800 dollars for rent; we have taken her to the market and put down around $160 in groceries for her and her son. When the kid was having a cup of top-ramon noodles for dinner, it was really getting down to the wire. Please pray for a miracle. She is a believer and knows that when she dies she will be with God, she has no doubts about that, but in the mean-time, she is struggleing to make ends meet for herself and her son. Her car is in the shop, waiting for a $450 dollar repair, of which she doesn't have the money to pay for, so she has no transportation. This is truely a miracle waiting to happen. I know with each miracle in the Bible, it started as a problem. I know our Lord is in the business of solving problems for his children. Please pray for this sister in the Lord, Simone (Pronounced Sa-mon-e). She would like my wife and I (we have no kids) to adopt her son when she is gone and we are honored to do that. This is a big commitment for us, but we know that God will see us through on this wonderful challenge. He is a great kid, humble, very smart and very into sports. Again, please cry out to the Lord for a sister in need. Thanks in Advance. Answer: Originally Posted by Hunt4Steve Hello Folks, great board. Answer: simone and her son will be in my prayers Answer: praying for a miracle. -In Prayer- Answer: Praying indeed. Answer: Thank you all so much for the prayers. I found out today, that she is two months past rent. I know that God has something better for her, but I just don't know that it is. Just this past week, she again, asked her two brothers for some help, and they declined, again. Great family members there. It may be that God has her move out, but I don't know to where. She still doesn't have a job, and her car is still in the shop. She does have a cousin in town that takes her son to school, I'm praying that that cousin will be able to take her in and help her get back on her feet for her short time here. I know God can heal her, but He may want to take her home as well.......Please keep her situation in your prayers. She is a good woman who is leaning soley on the Lord to carry her through this really tough time in her life. We are continueing to help her with grocerys and daily needs, but the rent is out of our reach. Pray that God's will would be evident to all involved. Thank you. Answer: Praying, so glad the child's future is so secure. Answer: Praying also. Answer: So, I wanted to keep you pray warriors apprised of the latest happenings. My heart has been so heavy with this issue, and it has kept me in constant prayer for Samoni and her son (David). A couple of nights ago I was really grieving for her, crying out to God, telling God, now is the time for some action. Yesterday something happened. Her oldest brother (Edson) who has been living with a lady and her kids (recall he came to the states with his family as a missionary) got in a fight with her and got kicked out of the house. So, he is now staying with Samoni and her son in the apartment that she is about to get kicked out of, due to late rent. No doubt God is moving in a mysterious way. My wife and I were scheduled to go down today and spend this evening with her and her son celebrating my birthday with them. I was planning on taking them out to dinner and just spending time with them. So, the plans have been canceled. Edson is going to take Samoni and her son for some events this weekend. I hear they are going to go to a friend of Edson’s. The issue of rent is still there, so I’m praying that God will resolve this issue. I know the LandLady (Land Lord) has been over asking for money, and I have been praying that God would soften her heart and extend mercy to Samoni and her son. I have a lot of anger and resentment against Edson and his other brother (Junior) for shunning Samoni for so many years, and now when he needs a place to stay, he goes to Samoni…. How Ironic. I’m praying that God will guard my heart against Satan’s attacks in this situation. Coming from a Military background I have a strong, very strong, sense of what is right and wrong, and I always balance this out against what the Bible says. In this case, I’m constantly asking God to help me deal with the abuse her brothers have given to her…..Its tough. Anyhow, I digress, Samoni and her brother are now in the same situation, they may be out on the street fairly soon, at the wishes of the LandLady (LandLord). So, I continue to ask for your prayers for Samoni’s situation, that God would continue to make the resolution evident to us, and give us (my wife and I) patience to watch it unfold in His time. Answer: wow very toching I hope God will work in her favor God knows what he's doing, My heart goes out to the fam, Ill definetly pray. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
