car... money... stress...

Question:
we went with the jr teen group to Canada's wonderland on Saturday and killed our poor car on the way up there, it would seem. It didn't make the return trip and the men went back up yesterday and took it to the nearest Canadian Tire Service station... We're now looking at towing it somewhere more local to see what the next steps are.
Good news: I just got that new job. Bad news: well...
Answer:
I'll be praying for you guys Dana, I understand the need for wheels and the stress it adds when it doesn't work.

Answer:
Well, the car was taken to the dealership today, and we finally found out what exactly is wrong. The monstrously wonderful good news is that it's not a problem with the cylinder block or engine block and therefore we can keep our car. YAY!!! We do however, havce to replace the head gasket and some type of output valve or something. Now, head gasket jobs are expensive. The last time we replaced one (on our Ford POS) it cost roughly $1100. Now, throw in a valve and they're replacing all our spark plugs (which were also shot) and the total should be getting up towards $1500 right? WRONG!!! The whole shebang is only $800. Some of that would be helped from the benevolence fund raised at church and right now, Dana's grandma is fronting the cash to cover it. We'll have our car back tomorrow afternoon.
Sometimes I'm beyond amazed at how God watches out for us when we get into trouble while doing His work.
