One of our kitties isn't doing so well... (and just general Straight family chaos)
Question: We can't figure out what's wrong with him, and with everything else that's going on, we can't afford to just let the vets do whatever it takes, so we're sort of doing a little here and there and hoping we can nurse him back to health. We spent over 4 hours at the vet today; we've got problems with every car; Nate and I are still in school which keeps us too busy to do as much as we'd like to help out; lots of church activities are coming up. We just need some prayer. Answer: Life is interesting when it gets so tangled up. *smile* What kind of trouble is the cat having? They are actually pretty resilient little creatures. We have friends with farm cats that are continually getting sick and seriously injured and they rarely lose one. They don't ever take them to the vet, just give them a cozy, quiet place to recuperate. It's quite amazing actually. Absolutely, definitely, most certainly praying for you. Answer: I will definitlely keep all the Straights in my prayers. Answer: Been praying and will continue to do so. Answer: so how's the kitty? and the rest of the general chaos? Answer: i can sort of relate to this. i had a cat named Carrera once who died from feilin lukemea. i will keep the cat in my prayers. I decided to let her go ahead and do a minor surgery, but now I"m really not liking the idea. They are to do it on Thursday. He was getting better with me nursing him but the vet said the way the break is it won't heal on it's own. I am really having second thoughts about this, AND she said she wanted to keep him until she does it Thursday and I really am having problems with the thought of him stuck in a small enclosure for 3 days. I didn't sleep at all last night thinking about him. The chaos is settling down. Daniel's car has new tires and an alignment. Today Jason and our Pastor finally managed to figure out how to get the starter off my car and replaced it. Total time when you add up those who tried to get it off was about 20 hours, time to put it back on once they figured it out, 20 minutes. I finally got online today to see if I could find an answer and came across a site that answered the exact question we had.... why won't it come off when we remove the bolts they say to remove?? Trick was, the second little picture showed a bolt on top that it never came out and said to remove, but had to be removed. Once I read that, they figured it out in a few minutes. So, now mom has a running car again. Still waiting on the insurance to find out where to take Nate's car to get it repaired and to arrange them to provide him with a rental. I'll call tomorrow.
