Question:
called my friend Jo the other night and i was planning to rant to her... as it turned out, she had more problems than i do.
she took her son Julian last Monday for his annual check-up and the doctor found out that one of his kidneys is swollen... this is the child that i had asked for people to pray for in the Prayer Forum... the one who has spina bifida.
his kidneys are horseshoe shaped... so it's attached together instead of separated... Jo catethers him 3 times a day... and it's easy for him to get infections etc. etc. but he has to be catethered, Jo is real careful about doing that though.
so the doctors advised her to have Julian have an ultrasound or a CT scan.. i'm not sure now... but anyway, it took half an hour for them to get that done and the doctor said something about a cyst... so of course, Jo freaks out and yesterday she went back to get the results of the medical exam done on Julian last Monday.
the good news is the doctor told her that Julian's kidneys are still functioning but that they are damaged... they couldn't tell her anything specific about it and the doctor even said that she has to study about Julian's condition first, so they asked her to have Julian come back on Dec. 5 for another series of ultrasound and scan.
sigh he's only 2 years old and they're suggesting to have a hole in his side to automatically drain his urine if his kidneys will not improve... i didn't know what to tell Jo when we were talking other than that Jase and I will be praying for sure and that I'll ask other people to help us pray for Julian... i can't imagine how it feels... i freak out when my dog gets sick, what more if it's my own child?
my heart goes out to Jo and to Julian... sigh... i know and i believe that the Lord can heal him completely... that nothing is impossible with Him... He promised that prayers offered up in faith will heal the sick person... so please help us offer up prayers to the Lord for Julian's healing.
