Sex offender living next door
Question: My dad was checking out this sex offender website of our area, and it showed where they live. We looked around our area, and there was one mapped uncomfortably close to our house His picture came up, he looked familiar. I looked at his address. He was right on our street. I tried to figure out where his house's number was located right next to ours. His house was right next to our's! My dad and I were shocked. By the most random chance, we found our neighbor is a second degree sex offender. We need prayer on how to handle this situation. There's always been something kind of odd about him, why two guys and no women are living in that house. A lot of things make sense now, actually. Pray for our own protection, and this guy's repentence and salvation if he hasn't been brought to it yet. God bless. Answer: I have a similar story, I'll be praying Answer: ohhhhhh I'll will be praying. Answer: ...prayin'. -In Prayer- Answer: I will be praying just remember god has the power to change things and i cant imagine how scary that is but you dont no if that person changed or not and im not telling you to go and find out either but just keep in mind all things are possible with god and pray about it and i wil too. Actually, I will be praying that God gives you a wise and forgiving heart. Our society has made these people incapable of repenting and living a life rightly. They are completely isolated and subjigated to this. Whats worse is victims of sexual violence are treated the same way. Where is the physical assault directory? I know at least 3 of my coworkers have done time for assault, and learned their lesson. Jesus used, Paul, a murderer, David, a sex offender/murderer, and many other huge criminals. I will pray that God grants you ability to look past bias, and hate, and to love this man as Christ does, who died for him as well as for you, and whom he loves, even while this guy was/is still a sinner. Answer: I totally agree with you on this everybody makes mistakes and us as humans see them as big or little mistakes but god seems them the same and if jesus can forgive them who are we not to the sex offender paid he debt and now we need to leave it alone. he or she made a mistake Originally Posted by BillSPrestonEsq this is part of why I think sex offender notification laws are horrible. Answer: It is a proven case that sex offenders repeat their crimes. Not all, but the vast majority. This is ever so clear with the recent streaks of kidnappings, rape and murder from released sex offenders. While it is true that people change and repent, sin dominates this world and the people in it. If you knew someone was a habitual liar, would you trust him with your secrets, your money? Even if he said he was better? I would be very cautious, and would probably wouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt. How much more so with a sex offender? I will be praying. Bill, I know we've had our run ins as of late, but I completely agree with you. Now you're never going to give this poor guy a chance. By your standards, no sin is worse than another. I would expect you to treat him no differently than a liar or anyone else who has ever sinned. These people are out there trying to get back on their feet, then their neighborhoods completely shun them and cut of social connections with them. Do you have any idea how depressing that is for someone who is trying to do the right things? Do the right thing. I found this interesting, and sad. It's the blog of Joseph Duncan, the sex offender that was all over the news for the kidnapping Shasta Groene. He talks about his struggles to get his life back in order and the opposition he faced because of what he had done. I read through all of his posts and you can see how he slowly deteriorates. But it sort of lets you in a bit on the life of someone like that. It's worth a read. Answer: What would Jesus do? He would Love them God loves each one of us imagine the hell that these guys go through everyday living in their world where love is not giving but taking love your neighbour never sounded so hard but that is what we are called to do pray about it and love your neighbour for one day he might become your brother pray for their conversion and for God to use you as his tool in letting God use you for his will you will understand Gods love for all of us the dirty sinners we are and show your neighbour this love (i suspect he is more in need of Gods love than even he would know) Peace and prayer milkmilk milk Answer: Originally Posted by Jenacen My dad was checking out this sex offender website of our area, and it showed where they live.
