Several requests

Question:
My dad (age 77) was hospitalized last week. He hadn't eaten in days, was dehydrated, had not taken his blood pressure medicine or his insulin, and was talking incoherently. They got his blood sugar under control, put him back on his meds, rehydrated him with IVs and then determined he had pneumonia. He was on heavy dose of antibiotics. Well, Sat. they did another chest xray to look at his lungs and the xray tech noticed a "funny" shadow on the lower portion of the xray. They did abdominal xrays and found he had 3 abcesses in his abdomin and one had ruptured. They had to take him off the blood thinner and wait 24 hours until Sunday to do emergency surgery. He made it through the surgery and seems to be doing ok(I have found this out from my sister as they are in MI, we are in LA). He will be on antibiotics for quite awhile and is in ICU right now.
My sister (the one who lives near my dad) had hip replacement surgery today. Her hubby said she is doing well.
Our hurricane recovery is going slow. State Farm adjustor left before finishing my claim and they can't find his file. We are in limbo until they can get things straight. We got a bit more water in the house with Hurricane Rita as the tarp on the roof blew off and Nate had to go onto the second story roof in the pouring rain to reattach it. We still don't have cable which is causing problems with Nate and Daniel getting registered for correspondence courses and then being able to do them when they start Oct. 9. Both go to Loyola which will not have classes this semester. Pray that Cox will have us hooked up by then or they will have to go to the local coffee house to do their work.
And then to top things off, my shoulder is not doing well. I guess I overdid it trying to clear up after Hurricane Katrina.
Oh, I almost forgot..... Daniel's car died tonight. My van has been dead so we are down to Nate's car. We need to find a decent cheap car in a hurry , one that didn't flood.
God is good and has watched over us and I know He will continue to do so, just a bit overwhelmed at the moment I guess.
Thanks everyone for praying.

An update on my dad. He had been improving after surgery but my sister called me tonight and said he is bleeding internally. They have given him 4 units of blood but he is not doing well. They don't know where exactly he is bleeding and he is not strong enough to really do much to find out right now. My sister said he is very confused . When she talked to him earlier this evening he said to her "They sent me to California, how will Randy (my younger brother) find me?" Please keep him in your prayers. His name is Dick (Richard). Oh, why his comment was strange is that he is in Michigan.
