Dad lost his job

Question:
Hey all,
I just wanted you guys to pray for my Dad. His contract ran out at the mine at which he works as chief geologist, and he has a family he has to support, as well as me, if I need it (For those who don't know, he is, for all intents and purposes, divorced and remarried)
Thanks,
Ryan
Answer:
I will pray for the situation Ryan.
Answer:
Me too.
Answer:
prayer coming your way, from one experiencing something similar.
Answer:
hey dude, i will pray for your dad
let us know how things go with that!
Answer:
Well, a few days ago I found out the circumstances behind it.
He was fired, apparently. For two reasons.
1. Four months ago, whilst the mine manager/superintendent (my dad is a chief geologist at a large mine in Papua New Guinea) was away and my dad was basically surrounded by his equals (i.e. there was no one to whom he was answerable to present at the time) he signed his own vacation request form. It passed through Human Resources and everything was fine until his boss heard about it about a week and a half ago and was ticked off. (But without good reason - it passed through HR, and presumably those were the proper channels to go through)
2. Dad protested, in an email to those engaging in them, some unfair privacy practises in which those who failed to show up for drug/alcohol tests (the minesite is 'dry' due to the low physiological tolerance of native Papuans for alcohol) had their names publicised in emails to their supervisors and others - in essence, blacklisting them. The issue Dad had with this is that some of these folks are unable to get to the place where these tests are to be administered due to working shifts conflicting with the timing of the tests, or other circumstances.

That sucks. I will continue to pray for the situation Ryan.
