Question:
Some of you know that relationship with my family is strained and contact is limited. The only bright spot is that my dad has in the past year or so tried to make some peace, and apologized for many things he did. The last motivation was when he was misdiagnosed with terminal liver cancer. Now, they never diagnosed what that actually was other than an inoperable growth larger than the rest of his liver.
Now, he appears to have a high probability of a different and possibaly advanced cancer.
my relationship with him is the only one in the family that is really at all functional. Furthermore, I have no idea what reaction this would receive from my mother. It seriously could range from indifference to suicide if he dies. There marriage is strained and her mental state has been bad and she has been in a manic state for a while now.
hence, I am asking you to pray for my dad, for healing of whatever he has. He isn't 60 yet, but he could pass for 80. I know time is running out for him. Just please pray.
I will try to keep this more updated than last time he had a cancer scare, but hopefully, we get better answers than we got last time. "gee, we don't know what this is, and we can't remove it, but it seems to be doing nothing at this point" was all we really got last time. This time a biopsy is scheduled.

Bill, I think I should know this, but I can't remember - is your dad a Christian? I will be praying for him and for your mother.

Yes, all members of my family would claim to be. My dad is an ex pastor who got burned pretty bad and fell into some pretty deep sin but yes, is a believer. After the last go round with his liver issue, he pretty much has let the bitterness go and is trying hard to live rightly. Some major repentance occurred and things seem to have stuck. However, dealing with my mother makes matters tricky.

Praying... I know what it's like to have someone in the family with a long term illness then had to loose them.. I pray for complete healing of physical illnesses and relationships.
