Welcome to www.thanktoday.com !!!

Oh snap, I have another cavity.

Question:
On sunday, my filling came out. I had a dentist appointment today anyway, so I had them check it out. It turns out that in addition to refilling that... um... filling, I have another cavity that needs to be taken care of. Now, I know God isn't going to just restore my teeth to perfect condition no matter how much praying is done. What I need prayer for is the fact that they are going to have to numb my mouth, and the method of numbing they use involves a syringe. I absolutely can't stand those things anywhere near me (which really makes the annual blood tests I have to get for my hypothyroidism a pain in the butt, but that's another subject). I could use some prayer between now and April 5th (which is when my appointment to take care of this was set) that:
1) No more cavities. Ever.
2) I get in the habit of taking care of my teeth, no matter how much I can't stand brushing and flossing.
3) When the 5th comes around, I don't flip out at the sight of their little needle.
Thank you.
Answer:
I'll pray for you Eric. You could try focusing on being thankful that we have the knowledge of how to numb our mouth prior to drilling. The alternative is much more frightening than a needle and syringe!
