My friends...
Question: I have a couple of friends who are fallen away Christians. They don't even come to Church for Easter and Christmas anymore. I feel like I need to do something about it. I want them to know Jesus. I 'm going to talk to them next time I have the chance, please pray for me as well as them, their names are Emily and Michelle. Also if anyone had some advice for me I'd appreciate it. Answer: praying.i donr have much advice except maybe invite them to come to church? or if you are in a youth group? Answer: I'm going to go see them right now. I'm going to invite them to Church this evening. Thanks for the prayers. Answer: They didn't come to Church. They seem really messed up, I haven't seen them much for the last few years and they've changed for the worse. I'm not going to give up on them though. Please keep them in your prayers. God's got something planned here. Answer: i'm sorry they didn't go. still praying. Answer: I actually wrote a song for/about them. I think I'll let them read the lyrics, I just won't tell them it's about them. Answer: I would suggest maybe something really informal such as coffee? Then invite them to a one time thing at youth group maybe you can get them to come more often after. I've noticed It helps if you personally invite them, then they feel like they make a difference. Praying for you. -In Prayer- Answer: The youth group is having a pizza night tomorrow, I'll invite them to that. Answer: Praying Audio. Answer: Let us know how it goes. -In Prayer- Answer: They didn't come. Answer: Do not give up on them. I will keep praying about it. Answer: I would go for the suggestion about coffee. Something very non-threatening. If they've been involved in church before they most likely are feeling guilty. And people don't like guilt. Your goal isn't to get them to church, your goal is to love them like Jesus. Since so much time has passed since you've spent time with them, I think that should be your first step. Rebuilding the friendship. Not for the purpose of showing them the error of their ways, but to let them know you love them. Right where they are. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
