I wonder if there are other religions in the world that use their sacred texts as marketing material to the extent that Christianity does. I mean... do you see comic-book Korans? Telletubby Torahs? Wall-art B'hagavad Gitas (if I spelled that right, it's a miracle)? I don't understand why Christianity feels the need to take the Word of God and transform it into as many mass-market media formats as possible. Is a secular manga fan really going to think "DUDE!!! THIS MANGA BIBLE IS TEH UBER 1337!!!"? Just trying to sell more stuff to Christianized, world-isolated Church-punks, it seems to me.

I actually think it's more unwise and dangerous to depict the obviously metaphorical / figurative events of the book of Revelation visually. "DUDE!
